Good condition Tyre valves are needed to maintain tyre pressure and allow air to be added or removed from the tyre. A valve cap in good condition is also essential as it provides a secondary seal and prevents dirt from getting inside.

A car tyre valve is commonly made from rubber to give it flexibility. It must be added that this rubber can deteriorate with age and use.
